Inspired by paper ashes dancing on the streets from yearly burnt offerings to the dead, this is an attempt by the two Hong Kong artists to share this beautiful yet eerie Chinese tradition with their international audience. Windroom not only dialogues with Infinite Message, another piece in the gallery, but also poses the question of how our culture view spiritual communication between 'our world' and the 'underworld'.
This room is equipped with a motion sensor that actives four large fans underneath the floor panel. The ceiling is loosely attached with found postcards, which vibrates and gets blown off by the wind when one enters the space.
