In this small installation, I burned through the words of an old found postcard where the author wrote his message to a now probably, deceased, friend. I set up the postcard between two mirrors so that the absent words disappear through the floor into an infinitely long tunnel and are released. Just as Chinese offerings are burnt for the dead, the installation suggests a cross-dimensional communication. Perhaps the traveling message, echoed through the earth, is received by the deceased in the underworld.
